With the corners of his mouth furrowed in a frown, and eyes rolled up from anger, that tiger among men was filled with indignation, just like a fallen tiger.

Then, O great king, Droṇa's son (Drauṇi), with eyes full of tears and breathing heavily, spoke to the best of the Bharatas, who was the lord of the lords of all worlds.

Indeed, nothing is truly unbearable in human existence, since you, O tiger among men, are lying covered in dust.

Luckily, I never retreated in any calamity during battle. Fortunately, I was killed by the wicked, especially through deceit alone.

Having spoken these words, with his eyes agitated by tears, he became silent, O king of kings (Dhṛtarāṣṭra), for he was extremely overcome by pain.

By the king's command, a brahmin should especially fight. Indeed, those who understand (natural) law (dharma) know that one should act according to the intrinsic nature (kṣatradharma) of a warrior in such a situation.
