Bṛhadaśva said: But Damayantī, having heard that, became deeply absorbed in sorrow. Suspecting that man to be Nala, she then said this to Keśinī.

Even when there is only a small space for movement, this (garment) never droops. But, upon seeing his body, it extends as needed, comfortably. And even in a constricted area, a very large space appears for it.

For the purpose of washing that (meat), a pot was arranged there. When that pot was observed by him (Nala), it immediately became full.

Bṛhadaśva said: But Damayantī, having heard that act of the renowned Nala, understood that Nala had arrived, as his presence was indicated by these actions (karma).

She, suspecting that Nala, her husband, was present in the form of Bāhuka, then spoke again to Keśinī with a gentle voice, while weeping.

21.
O delight of the Kurus (kurunandana), when Bāhuka was preoccupied, Keśinī went, and, doing what was pleasing (priyakāriṇī), quickly and immediately took that very hot meat and then gave it to Damayantī.

She, who had often been accustomed to Nala's cooking (nalasiddhasya māṃsasya) in the past, tasted the meat, and recognizing Nala as the cook, cried out, greatly distressed (bhṛśaduḥkhitā).

King Bahuka, having clearly recognized Indrasena along with his brother, then rushed towards them, embraced them, and took them upon his lap.

Bahuka, upon meeting his two sons who resembled the sons of gods, became exceedingly overwhelmed by sorrow, and indeed cried aloud.

But then the king of Niṣadha (Nala), having repeatedly displayed emotional distress, suddenly let go of his two sons and said this to Keshini.
