The wise and powerful (Janārdana), accompanied by Pārtha (Arjuna), then approached his brothers. Kṛṣṇa, encircled by the five brothers, shone like Indra (Śakra) surrounded by the immortals.

The foremost among the Yadus worshipped the gods and the Brahmins with garlands, prayers, obeisances, and various kinds of fragrances. Having completed all his duties, he, the best among those who remain steadfast, then departed.

Then, King Yudhishthira, the lord of the Kurus, also ascended after him (Krishna) with great affection. Setting aside Krishna's charioteer Daruka, the best of charioteers, he himself took hold of the reins.

Similarly, Bhimasena, who was self-controlled, also followed Krishna from behind, accompanied by the two Yamas (Nakula and Sahadeva) and surrounded by priests and citizens.

Thus, Keshava (Krishna), the destroyer of enemy heroes, looked splendid as he was followed by his brothers and, like a beloved teacher (guru) by his dear disciples.

Madhusudana, having been firmly embraced by the two twins and saluted by them, then established a proper understanding with all of them.

And then, having dismissed the Pandavas with their followers, Krishna departed for his own city, like another Purandara (Indra).

They followed him with their eyes until he was out of their sight. Then, filled with great affection, they followed Krishna with their minds.

23.
Though their minds were completely absorbed in Govinda (Kṛṣṇa), those Pārthas, the foremost of men, returned to their own city as if they had no other desires. Then, Kṛṣṇa also, by chariot, departed for Dvārakā in due course.
