I hope they remember the mighty Bhimasena, mace in hand, who made the enemy hosts tremble on the battlefield, pacing about like an elephant in rut through a reed forest.

Sahadeva, the son of Madri, defeated the assembled Kalingas in Dantakūra. He, who was immensely strong, discharged (weapons) with his left hand and also with his right. Do they remember him?

O Saṃjaya, son of Gavalgaṇa, while you were watching, this Nakula, rising (to the occasion), was indeed sent by me. He, the son of Madri, brought the western direction under my control. Do they remember him?

Do you remember the calamity (abhībhava) that occurred in the Dvaitavana forest, which was caused by the ill-advised actions of those who had come for the cattle-raid (ghoṣayātrā)? There, Bhīmasena and Jaya (Arjuna) released the foolish ones who had fallen into the enemies' power.

Afterwards, I protected Arjuna, and the two sons of Madri and Bhīmasena also provided protection. He, bearing the Gāṇḍīva (bow), having repelled the hordes of enemies, returned safely. Do they remember him?

O Sanjaya, it is certainly not possible here to accomplish anything through a single virtuous action, since we are utterly unable to completely conquer Dhṛtarāṣṭra's son.
