कुन्त्युवाच ।
अर्जुनं केशव ब्रूयास्त्वयि जाते स्म सूतके ।
उपोपविष्टा नारीभिराश्रमे परिवारिता ॥१॥
1. kuntyuvāca ,
arjunaṁ keśava brūyāstvayi jāte sma sūtake ,
upopaviṣṭā nārībhirāśrame parivāritā.

1. Kunti said: "O Keśava, you should tell Arjuna: 'When you were born, I was in a state of ritual impurity (sūtaka), sitting in the hermitage (āśrama), surrounded by women.'"
अथान्तरिक्षे वागासीद्दिव्यरूपा मनोरमा ।
सहस्राक्षसमः कुन्ति भविष्यत्येष ते सुतः ॥२॥
2. athāntarikṣe vāgāsīddivyarūpā manoramā ,
sahasrākṣasamaḥ kunti bhaviṣyatyeṣa te sutaḥ.
2. atha antarikṣe vāk āsīt divyarūpā manorāmā |
sahasrākṣasamaḥ kunti bhaviṣyati eṣaḥ te sutaḥ
2. atha antarikṣe divyarūpā manorāmā vāk āsīt (sā uvāca) kunti,

2. Then, in the sky, a charming and divine voice (vāk) was heard: "O Kunti, this son of yours will be equal to Indra (Sahasrākṣa)."
एष जेष्यति संग्रामे कुरून्सर्वान्समागतान् ।
भीमसेनद्वितीयश्च लोकमुद्वर्तयिष्यति ॥३॥
3. eṣa jeṣyati saṁgrāme kurūnsarvānsamāgatān ,
bhīmasenadvitīyaśca lokamudvartayiṣyati.
3. eṣaḥ jeṣyati saṅgrāme kurūn sarvān samāgatān
| bhīmasenadvitīyaḥ ca lokam udvartayiṣyati
3. eṣaḥ saṅgrāme sarvān samāgatān kurūn jeṣyati ca
bhīmasenadvitīyaḥ (san) lokam udvartayiṣyati
3. This one will conquer all the assembled Kurus in battle. And, with Bhīmasena as his second, he will uplift the world.
पुत्रस्ते पृथिवीं जेता यशश्चास्य दिवस्पृशम् ।
हत्वा कुरून्ग्रामजन्ये वासुदेवसहायवान् ॥४॥
4. putraste pṛthivīṁ jetā yaśaścāsya divaspṛśam ,
hatvā kurūngrāmajanye vāsudevasahāyavān.
4. putraḥ te pṛthivīm jetā yaśaḥ ca asya divaspṛśam
| hatvā kurūn grāmajanye vāsudevasahāyavān
4. te putraḥ pṛthivīm jetā (bhaviṣyati) ca asya yaśaḥ divaspṛśam (bhaviṣyati) grāmajanye kurūn hatvā,

4. Your son will conquer the earth, and his fame will be sky-reaching. Having slain the Kurus in the battle of the populace (grāmajanma), he will have Vāsudeva (Krishna) as his helper.
पित्र्यमंशं प्रनष्टं च पुनरप्युद्धरिष्यति ।
भ्रातृभिः सहितः श्रीमांस्त्रीन्मेधानाहरिष्यति ॥५॥
5. pitryamaṁśaṁ pranaṣṭaṁ ca punarapyuddhariṣyati ,
bhrātṛbhiḥ sahitaḥ śrīmāṁstrīnmedhānāhariṣyati.
5. pitryam aṃśam pranaṣṭam ca punar api uddhariṣyati
| bhrātṛbhiḥ sahitaḥ śrīmān trīn medhān āhariṣyati
5. śrīmān bhrātṛbhiḥ sahitaḥ pitryam pranaṣṭam aṃśam
punar api uddhariṣyati trīn medhān āhariṣyati
5. The prosperous one, accompanied by his brothers, will recover his lost paternal share and will also perform three Vedic rituals (yajña).
तं सत्यसंधं बीभत्सुं सव्यसाचिनमच्युत ।
यथाहमेवं जानामि बलवन्तं दुरासदम् ।
तथा तदस्तु दाशार्ह यथा वागभ्यभाषत ॥६॥
6. taṁ satyasaṁdhaṁ bībhatsuṁ savyasācinamacyuta ,
yathāhamevaṁ jānāmi balavantaṁ durāsadam ,
tathā tadastu dāśārha yathā vāgabhyabhāṣata.
6. tam satyasaṃdham bībhatsum savyasācinam
acyuta | yathā aham evam jānāmi
balavantam durāsadam | tathā tat
astu dāśārha yathā vāk abhyabhāṣata
6. acyuta,
dāśārha,
yathā aham tam satyasaṃdham bībhatsum savyasācinam balavantam durāsadam evam jānāmi,
tathā yat vāk abhyabhāṣata tat astu
6. O Acyuta (Kṛṣṇa), as I know that powerful and unconquerable Arjuna - Bibhatsu (hater of sin) and Savyasācin (ambidextrous) - who is true to his vows, so let it be, O Dāśārha (Kṛṣṇa), just as the prophecy declared.
धर्मश्चेदस्ति वार्ष्णेय तथा सत्यं भविष्यति ।
त्वं चापि तत्तथा कृष्ण सर्वं संपादयिष्यसि ॥७॥
7. dharmaścedasti vārṣṇeya tathā satyaṁ bhaviṣyati ,
tvaṁ cāpi tattathā kṛṣṇa sarvaṁ saṁpādayiṣyasi.
7. dharmaḥ ced asti vārṣṇeya tathā satyam bhaviṣyati
| tvam ca api tat tathā kṛṣṇa sarvam saṃpādayiṣyasi
7. vārṣṇeya,
kṛṣṇa,
ced dharmaḥ asti,
tathā satyam bhaviṣyati ca tvam api tat sarvam tathā saṃpādayiṣyasi
7. O Vārṣṇeya (Kṛṣṇa), if natural law (dharma) exists, then truth will prevail. And you too, O Kṛṣṇa, will likewise accomplish all of this.
नाहं तदभ्यसूयामि यथा वागभ्यभाषत ।
नमो धर्माय महते धर्मो धारयति प्रजाः ॥८॥
8. nāhaṁ tadabhyasūyāmi yathā vāgabhyabhāṣata ,
namo dharmāya mahate dharmo dhārayati prajāḥ.
8. na aham tat abhyasūyāmi yathā vāk abhyabhāṣata
| namaḥ dharmāya mahate dharmaḥ dhārayati prajāḥ
8. aham tat na abhyasūyāmi yathā vāk abhyabhāṣata
mahate dharmāya namaḥ dharmaḥ prajāḥ dhārayati
8. I do not begrudge that which the prophecy declared. Salutations to the great natural law (dharma); for natural law (dharma) sustains all beings.
एतद्धनंजयो वाच्यो नित्योद्युक्तो वृकोदरः ।
यदर्थं क्षत्रिया सूते तस्य कालोऽयमागतः ।
न हि वैरं समासाद्य सीदन्ति पुरुषर्षभाः ॥९॥
9. etaddhanaṁjayo vācyo nityodyukto vṛkodaraḥ ,
yadarthaṁ kṣatriyā sūte tasya kālo'yamāgataḥ ,
na hi vairaṁ samāsādya sīdanti puruṣarṣabhāḥ.
9. etad dhanaṃjayaḥ vācyaḥ nityodyuktaḥ
vṛkodaraḥ yat artham kṣatriyā sūte
tasya kālaḥ ayam āgataḥ na hi vairaṃ
samāsādya sīdanti puruṣarṣabhāḥ
9. etad nityodyuktaḥ vṛkodaraḥ dhanaṃjayaḥ vācyaḥ.
yat artham kṣatriyā sūte tasya ayam kālaḥ āgataḥ.
hi puruṣarṣabhāḥ vairaṃ samāsādya na sīdanti.
9. This message should be given to Dhananjaya (Arjuna) and to Vṛkodara (Bhīma), who is always prepared for action: the time has come for the very purpose for which a kṣatriya woman gives birth to a son. Indeed, the foremost among men (puruṣarṣabhāḥ) do not lose heart when confronted with animosity.
विदिता ते सदा बुद्धिर्भीमस्य न स शाम्यति ।
यावदन्तं न कुरुते शत्रूणां शत्रुकर्शनः ॥१०॥
10. viditā te sadā buddhirbhīmasya na sa śāmyati ,
yāvadantaṁ na kurute śatrūṇāṁ śatrukarśanaḥ.
10. viditā te sadā buddhiḥ bhīmasya na saḥ śāmyati
yāvat antam na kurute śatrūṇām śatrukaraśanaḥ
10. te bhīmasya buddhiḥ sadā viditā.
saḥ śatrukaraśanaḥ yāvat śatrūṇām antam na kurute,
na śāmyati.
10. Bhīma's resolve (buddhi) is always known to you. He, the tormentor of enemies, will not rest until he brings about the end of his foes.
सर्वधर्मविशेषज्ञां स्नुषां पाण्डोर्महात्मनः ।
ब्रूया माधव कल्याणीं कृष्णां कृष्ण यशस्विनीम् ॥११॥
11. sarvadharmaviśeṣajñāṁ snuṣāṁ pāṇḍormahātmanaḥ ,
brūyā mādhava kalyāṇīṁ kṛṣṇāṁ kṛṣṇa yaśasvinīm.
11. sarvadharmaviśeṣajñām snuṣām pāṇḍoḥ mahātmanaḥ
brūyāḥ mādhava kalyāṇīm kṛṣṇām kṛṣṇa yaśasvinīm
11. mādhava kṛṣṇa,
(tvam) sarvadharmaviśeṣajñām mahātmanaḥ pāṇḍoḥ snuṣām kalyāṇīm kṛṣṇām yaśasvinīm brūyāḥ.
11. O Kṛṣṇa, O Mādhava, you should speak to the glorious and excellent Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī), the daughter-in-law (snusām) of the great-souled (mahātmanaḥ) Pāṇḍu, who is well-versed (sarvadharmaviśeṣajñāṃ) in all specific principles of natural law (dharma).
युक्तमेतन्महाभागे कुले जाते यशस्विनि ।
यन्मे पुत्रेषु सर्वेषु यथावत्त्वमवर्तिथाः ॥१२॥
12. yuktametanmahābhāge kule jāte yaśasvini ,
yanme putreṣu sarveṣu yathāvattvamavartithāḥ.
12. yuktam etad mahābhāge kule jāte yaśasvini yat
me putreṣu sarveṣu yathāvat tvam avartithāḥ
12. mahābhāge yaśasvini jāte kule (bhavatī),
etad yuktam yat tvam me sarveṣu putreṣu yathāvat avartithāḥ.
12. O fortunate one (mahābhāge), O glorious one (yaśasvinī), born into a noble family, this is proper: that you have behaved appropriately towards all my sons.
माद्रीपुत्रौ च वक्तव्यौ क्षत्रधर्मरतावुभौ ।
विक्रमेणार्जितान्भोगान्वृणीतं जीवितादपि ॥१३॥
13. mādrīputrau ca vaktavyau kṣatradharmaratāvubhau ,
vikrameṇārjitānbhogānvṛṇītaṁ jīvitādapi.
13. mādrīputrau ca vaktavyau kṣatradharmaratau ubhau
vikrameṇa arjitān bhogān vṛṇītam jīvitāt api
13. ca mādrīputrau kṣatradharmaratau ubhau vaktavyau
vikrameṇa arjitān bhogān jīvitāt api vṛṇītam
13. And the two sons of Madri, both dedicated to the warrior's code (kṣatradharma), should be told: 'Prefer the enjoyments earned through valor even over life itself.'
विक्रमाधिगता ह्यर्थाः क्षत्रधर्मेण जीवतः ।
मनो मनुष्यस्य सदा प्रीणन्ति पुरुषोत्तम ॥१४॥
14. vikramādhigatā hyarthāḥ kṣatradharmeṇa jīvataḥ ,
mano manuṣyasya sadā prīṇanti puruṣottama.
14. vikramādhigatāḥ hi arthāḥ kṣatradharmeṇa jīvataḥ
manas manuṣyasya sadā prīṇanti puruṣottama
14. puruṣottama hi kṣatradharmeṇa jīvataḥ manuṣyasya
manas vikramādhigatāḥ arthāḥ sadā prīṇanti
14. Indeed, for a man who lives by the warrior's code (kṣatradharma), possessions acquired through valor always satisfy the mind, O best among men (puruṣottama).
यच्च वः प्रेक्षमाणानां सर्वधर्मोपचायिनी ।
पाञ्चाली परुषाण्युक्ता को नु तत्क्षन्तुमर्हति ॥१५॥
15. yacca vaḥ prekṣamāṇānāṁ sarvadharmopacāyinī ,
pāñcālī paruṣāṇyuktā ko nu tatkṣantumarhati.
15. yat ca vaḥ prekṣamāṇānām sarvadharmopacāyinī
pāñcālī paruṣāṇi uktā kaḥ nu tat kṣantum arhati
15. ca vaḥ prekṣamāṇānām sarvadharmopacāyinī pāñcālī
paruṣāṇi uktā yat tat nu kaḥ kṣantum arhati
15. And that cruel words were spoken to Panchali, who upholds all moral codes (dharma), while you all stood watching – who indeed could forgive such a thing?
न राज्यहरणं दुःखं द्यूते चापि पराजयः ।
प्रव्राजनं सुतानां वा न मे तद्दुःखकारणम् ॥१६॥
16. na rājyaharaṇaṁ duḥkhaṁ dyūte cāpi parājayaḥ ,
pravrājanaṁ sutānāṁ vā na me tadduḥkhakāraṇam.
16. na rājyaharaṇam duḥkham dyūte ca api parājayaḥ
pravrājanam sutānām vā na me tat duḥkhakāraṇam
16. rājyaharaṇam duḥkham na,
dyūte ca api parājayaḥ [duḥkham na],
vā sutānām pravrājanam na; tat me duḥkhakāraṇam na
16. Neither the loss of the kingdom, nor defeat in the game of dice, nor the exile of my sons is a cause of sorrow for me. That is not the reason for my distress.
यत्तु सा बृहती श्यामा सभायां रुदती तदा ।
अश्रौषीत्परुषा वाचस्तन्मे दुःखतरं मतम् ॥१७॥
17. yattu sā bṛhatī śyāmā sabhāyāṁ rudatī tadā ,
aśrauṣītparuṣā vācastanme duḥkhataraṁ matam.
17. yat tu sā bṛhatī śyāmā sabhāyām rudatī tadā
aśrauṣīt paruṣā vācaḥ tat me duḥkhataram matam
17. tu yat sā bṛhatī śyāmā tadā sabhāyām rudatī
paruṣāḥ vācaḥ aśrauṣīt tat me duḥkhataram matam
17. But what that tall, dark-complexioned woman, weeping in the assembly then, heard as harsh words – that is considered by me to be even more sorrowful.
स्त्रीधर्मिणी वरारोहा क्षत्रधर्मरता सदा ।
नाध्यगच्छत्तदा नाथं कृष्णा नाथवती सती ॥१८॥
18. strīdharmiṇī varārohā kṣatradharmaratā sadā ,
nādhyagacchattadā nāthaṁ kṛṣṇā nāthavatī satī.
18. strīdharmiṇī varārohā kṣatradharmaratā sadā na
adhyagacchat tadā nātham kṛṣṇā nāthavatī satī
18. strīdharmiṇī varārohā sadā kṣatradharmaratā satī
nāthavatī kṛṣṇā tadā nātham na adhyagacchat
18. She who upheld the natural law (dharma) of women, with beautiful hips, always devoted to the natural law (dharma) of warriors - that Krishna (Draupadi), though having protectors, found no protector then.
तं वै ब्रूहि महाबाहो सर्वशस्त्रभृतां वरम् ।
अर्जुनं पुरुषव्याघ्रं द्रौपद्याः पदवीं चर ॥१९॥
19. taṁ vai brūhi mahābāho sarvaśastrabhṛtāṁ varam ,
arjunaṁ puruṣavyāghraṁ draupadyāḥ padavīṁ cara.
19. tam vai brūhi mahābāho sarvaśastrabhṛtām varam
arjunam puruṣavyāghram draupadyāḥ padavīm cara
19. mahābāho,
vai brūhi tam arjunam puruṣavyāghram sarvaśastrabhṛtām varam draupadyāḥ padavīm cara
19. O mighty-armed one, indeed tell him, Arjuna, that tiger among men, the best among all wielders of weapons, to follow Draupadi's path (i.e., to avenge her).
विदितौ हि तवात्यन्तं क्रुद्धाविव यमान्तकौ ।
भीमार्जुनौ नयेतां हि देवानपि परां गतिम् ॥२०॥
20. viditau hi tavātyantaṁ kruddhāviva yamāntakau ,
bhīmārjunau nayetāṁ hi devānapi parāṁ gatim.
20. viditau hi tava atyantam kruddhāv iva yamāntakau
bhīmārjunau nayetām hi devān api parām gatim
20. hi tava atyantam viditau bhīmārjunau kruddhāv
iva yamāntakau hi devān api parām gatim nayetām
20. Indeed, you know very well that Bhima and Arjuna, when extremely enraged, are like Yama (Death) and Antaka (the Destroyer). They would, in fact, lead even the gods to their ultimate destruction.
तयोश्चैतदवज्ञानं यत्सा कृष्णा सभागता ।
दुःशासनश्च यद्भीमं कटुकान्यभ्यभाषत ।
पश्यतां कुरुवीराणां तच्च संस्मारयेः पुनः ॥२१॥
21. tayoścaitadavajñānaṁ yatsā kṛṣṇā sabhāgatā ,
duḥśāsanaśca yadbhīmaṁ kaṭukānyabhyabhāṣata ,
paśyatāṁ kuruvīrāṇāṁ tacca saṁsmārayeḥ punaḥ.
21. tayoḥ ca etat avajñānam yat sā kṛṣṇā
sabhāgatā duḥśāsanaḥ ca yat bhīmam
kaṭukāni abhyabhāṣata paśyatām
kuruvīrāṇām tat ca saṃsmārayeḥ punaḥ
21. tayoḥ ca etat avajñānam yat sā kṛṣṇā
sabhāgatā ca yat duḥśāsanaḥ bhīmam
kaṭukāni abhyabhāṣata kuruvīrāṇām
paśyatām tat ca punaḥ saṃsmārayeḥ
21. You should remind them again of these two insults: that Draupadī was brought into the assembly, and that Duḥśāsana spoke harsh words to Bhīma while the Kuru warriors were watching.
पाण्डवान्कुशलं पृच्छेः सपुत्रान्कृष्णया सह ।
मां च कुशलिनीं ब्रूयास्तेषु भूयो जनार्दन ।
अरिष्टं गच्छ पन्थानं पुत्रान्मे परिपालय ॥२२॥
22. pāṇḍavānkuśalaṁ pṛccheḥ saputrānkṛṣṇayā saha ,
māṁ ca kuśalinīṁ brūyāsteṣu bhūyo janārdana ,
ariṣṭaṁ gaccha panthānaṁ putrānme paripālaya.
22. pāṇḍavān kuśalam pṛccheḥ saputrān
kṛṣṇayā saha | mām ca kuśalinīm brūyāḥ
teṣu bhūyaḥ janārdana | ariṣṭam
gaccha panthānam putrān me paripālaya
22. janārdana pāṇḍavān saputrān kṛṣṇayā
saha kuśalam pṛccheḥ ca teṣu mām
bhūyaḥ kuśalinīm brūyāḥ ariṣṭam
panthānam gaccha me putrān paripālaya
22. O Janārdana, you should inquire about the well-being of the Pāṇḍavas, along with their sons and Draupadī. Also, convey to them that I am well. Go safely on your journey and protect my sons.
वैशंपायन उवाच ।
अभिवाद्याथ तां कृष्णः कृत्वा चाभिप्रदक्षिणम् ।
निश्चक्राम महाबाहुः सिंहखेलगतिस्ततः ॥२३॥
23. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
abhivādyātha tāṁ kṛṣṇaḥ kṛtvā cābhipradakṣiṇam ,
niścakrāma mahābāhuḥ siṁhakhelagatistataḥ.
23. vaiśaṃpāyanaḥ uvāca | abhivādya atha tām kṛṣṇaḥ kṛtvā ca
abhipradakṣiṇam | niścakrāma mahābāhuḥ siṃhakhelagatiḥ tataḥ
23. vaiśaṃpāyanaḥ uvāca atha mahābāhuḥ kṛṣṇaḥ tām abhivādya
ca abhipradakṣiṇam kṛtvā siṃhakhelagatiḥ tataḥ niścakrāma
23. Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Then, the mighty-armed Kṛṣṇa, having greeted her (Kuntī) and performed a reverential circumambulation, departed from there with the majestic gait of a playful lion.
ततो विसर्जयामास भीष्मादीन्कुरुपुंगवान् ।
आरोप्य च रथे कर्णं प्रायात्सात्यकिना सह ॥२४॥
24. tato visarjayāmāsa bhīṣmādīnkurupuṁgavān ,
āropya ca rathe karṇaṁ prāyātsātyakinā saha.
24. tataḥ visarjayāmāsa bhīṣmādīn kurupuṅgavān |
āropya ca rathe karṇam prāyāt sātyakinā saha
24. tataḥ bhīṣmādīn kurupuṅgavān visarjayāmāsa
ca rathe karṇam āropya sātyakinā saha prāyāt
24. Then, he dismissed Bhīṣma and the other prominent Kuru warriors. After seating Karṇa in the chariot, he (Kṛṣṇa) departed with Sātyaki.
ततः प्रयाते दाशार्हे कुरवः संगता मिथः ।
जजल्पुर्महदाश्चर्यं केशवे परमाद्भुतम् ॥२५॥
25. tataḥ prayāte dāśārhe kuravaḥ saṁgatā mithaḥ ,
jajalpurmahadāścaryaṁ keśave paramādbhutam.
25. tataḥ prayāte dāśārhe kuravaḥ saṃgatāḥ mithaḥ
jajalpuḥ mahat āścaryam keśave parama adbhutam
25. dāśārhe prayāte tataḥ kuravaḥ mithaḥ saṃgatāḥ
keśave mahat parama adbhutam āścaryam jajalpuḥ
25. Then, after Daśārha (Kṛṣṇa) had departed, the Kurus assembled together and discussed among themselves the great and supremely astonishing wonder concerning Keśava (Kṛṣṇa).
प्रमूढा पृथिवी सर्वा मृत्युपाशसिता कृता ।
दुर्योधनस्य बालिश्यान्नैतदस्तीति चाब्रुवन् ॥२६॥
26. pramūḍhā pṛthivī sarvā mṛtyupāśasitā kṛtā ,
duryodhanasya bāliśyānnaitadastīti cābruvan.
26. pramūḍhā pṛthivī sarvā mṛtyupāśasitā kṛtā
duryodhanasya bāliśyāt na etat asti iti ca abruvan
26. duryodhanasya bāliśyāt sarvā pṛthivī pramūḍhā
mṛtyupāśasitā kṛtā ca abruvan 'etat na asti' iti
26. The entire earth had been rendered completely bewildered and ensnared by the noose of death due to Duryodhana's foolishness. And they (the Kurus) declared, 'This (terrible situation) should not be!'
ततो निर्याय नगरात्प्रययौ पुरुषोत्तमः ।
मन्त्रयामास च तदा कर्णेन सुचिरं सह ॥२७॥
27. tato niryāya nagarātprayayau puruṣottamaḥ ,
mantrayāmāsa ca tadā karṇena suciraṁ saha.
27. tataḥ niryāya nagarāt prāyayau puruṣottamaḥ
mantrayāmāsa ca tadā karṇena suciram saha
27. puruṣottamaḥ nagarāt niryāya tataḥ prāyayau
ca tadā karṇena saha suciram mantrayāmāsa
27. Then, the supreme cosmic person (puruṣottama, Kṛṣṇa), having departed from the city, proceeded. And at that time, he consulted with Karṇa for a long period.
विसर्जयित्वा राधेयं सर्वयादवनन्दनः ।
ततो जवेन महता तूर्णमश्वानचोदयत् ॥२८॥
28. visarjayitvā rādheyaṁ sarvayādavanandanaḥ ,
tato javena mahatā tūrṇamaśvānacodayat.

28. The delight of all Yadavas (Kṛṣṇa), having dismissed Rādhā's son (Karṇa), then quickly urged the horses with great speed.
ते पिबन्त इवाकाशं दारुकेण प्रचोदिताः ।
हया जग्मुर्महावेगा मनोमारुतरंहसः ॥२९॥
29. te pibanta ivākāśaṁ dārukeṇa pracoditāḥ ,
hayā jagmurmahāvegā manomārutaraṁhasaḥ.

29. Driven by Dāruka, the horses, of great speed and with the impetus of the mind and wind, went as if drinking the very sky.
ते व्यतीत्य तमध्वानं क्षिप्रं श्येना इवाशुगाः ।
उच्चैः सूर्यमुपप्लव्यं शार्ङ्गधन्वानमावहन् ॥३०॥
30. te vyatītya tamadhvānaṁ kṣipraṁ śyenā ivāśugāḥ ,
uccaiḥ sūryamupaplavyaṁ śārṅgadhanvānamāvahan.

30. Having quickly traversed that path like swift falcons, they carried the wielder of the Śārṅga bow (Krishna) high up, as if approaching the sun.
