मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-96

पक्षिण ऊचुः ।
एकमुक्ते तदा तेन श्वपाको हृष्टमानसः ।
विश्वामित्राय तद्द्रव्यं दत्त्वा बद्ध्वा नरेश्वरम् ॥९६॥
96. pakṣiṇa ūcuḥ .
ekamukte tadā tena śvapāko hṛṣṭamānasaḥ .
viśvāmitrāya taddravyaṃ dattvā baddhvā nareśvaram.
96. pakṣiṇaḥ ūcuḥ ekamukte tadā tena śvapākaḥ hṛṣṭamānasaḥ
viśvāmitrāya tat dravyam dattvā baddhvā nareśvaram
96. The birds said: 'When that (statement) had been uttered by him (Viśvāmitra), the outcaste (śvapāka), with a joyful mind, gave that wealth to Viśvāmitra and bound the king (nareśvara).'
