मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-140

क्रकचैः पाट्यमानस्तु क्षुरधाराभिरप्यधः ।
अन्धे तमसि दुः खार्तः पूयशोणितभोजनः ॥१४०॥
140. krakacaiḥ pāṭyamānastu kṣuradhārābhirapyadhaḥ .
andhe tamasi duḥ khārtaḥ pūyaśoṇitabhojanaḥ.
140. krakacaiḥ pāṭyamānaḥ tu kṣuradhārābhiḥ api
adhaḥ andhe tamasi duḥkhārtaḥ pūyaśoṇitabhojanaḥ
140. Moreover, he was being torn apart by saws and even downwards by razor-sharp blades. Afflicted by suffering in blinding darkness, he subsisted on pus and blood.
