मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-174

तस्या विलापशब्दं तमाकर्ण्य स नराधिपः ।
जगाम त्वरितोऽत्रेति भविता मृतकम्बलः ॥१७४॥
174. tasyā vilāpaśabdaṃ tamākarṇya sa narādhipaḥ .
jagāma tvarito'treti bhavitā mṛtakambalaḥ.
174. tasyā vilāpa-śabdam tam ākarṇya saḥ narādhipaḥ
jagāma tvaritaḥ atra iti bhavitā mṛtakambalaḥ
174. That king, having heard her sound of lamentation, quickly came, (thinking) 'Here, there will be a dead burden.'
