मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-268

अहो तितिक्षामाहात्म्यमहो दानफलं महत् ।
यदागतो हरिश्चन्द्रः पुरीञ्चेन्द्रत्वमाप्तवान् ॥२६८॥
268. aho titikṣāmāhātmyamaho dānaphalaṃ mahat .
yadāgato hariścandraḥ purīñcendratvamāptavān.

268. Oh, the greatness of forbearance (titikṣā)! Oh, the magnificent reward (dāna-phalam) of generosity (dāna)! For Hariścandhra has come and attained the city of Indra as well as the status of Indra.
