मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-146

मत्स्यं कूर्मं वराहञ्च श्वाविधं कुक्कुटं शुकम् ।
शारिकां स्थावरांश्चैव सर्पमन्यांश्व देहिनः ॥१४६॥
146. matsyaṃ kūrmaṃ varāhañca śvāvidhaṃ kukkuṭaṃ śukam .
śārikāṃ sthāvarāṃścaiva sarpamanyāṃśva dehinaḥ.
146. matsyam kūrmam varāham ca śvāvidham kukkuṭam śukam
śārikām sthāvarān ca eva sarpam anyān ca dehinaḥ
146. He (saw himself in the form of) a fish, a tortoise, a boar, a porcupine, a cock, a parrot, a starling, and indeed plants, a snake, and other embodied beings.
