पक्षिण ऊचुः ।
एतद्वाक्यमुपश्रुत्य ययौ मोहं महीपतिः ।

etadvākyamupaśrutya yayau mohaṃ mahīpatiḥ .
pratilabhya ca saṃjñāṃ sa vilalāpātiduḥ khitaḥ.

The birds said, "Having heard this speech, the king fell into unconsciousness. And having regained consciousness, he lamented, exceedingly distressed."
