मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-194

एकमुक्त्तवा तमादाय बालकं बाष्पगद्गदः ।
परिष्वज्य च निश्चेष्टो मूर्च्छया निपपात ह ॥१९४॥
194. ekamukttavā tamādāya bālakaṃ bāṣpagadgadaḥ .
pariṣvajya ca niśceṣṭo mūrcchayā nipapāta ha.
194. ekam uktvā tam ādāya bālakam bāṣpagadgadaḥ
pariṣvajya ca niśceṣṭaḥ mūrcchayā nipapāta ha
194. After saying this, he picked up that boy, and, choked with tears, embraced him and then fell down motionless, unconscious (mūrcchā), indeed.
