मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-119

स राजा तत्र सम्प्राप्तो दुः खितः शोचनोद्यतः ।
हा भृत्या मन्त्रिणो विप्राः तद्राज्यं विधे गतम् ॥११९॥
119. sa rājā tatra samprāpto duḥ khitaḥ śocanodyataḥ .
hā bhṛtyā mantriṇo viprāḥ tadrājyaṃ vidhe gatam.
119. saḥ rājā tatra samprāptaḥ duḥkhitaḥ śocanodyataḥ
hā bhṛtyāḥ mantriṇaḥ viprāḥ tat rājyam vidhe gatam
119. That king, having arrived there, was distressed and prepared to lament. 'Alas, my servants, ministers, and brahmins! Oh Destiny (vidhi), that kingdom is lost!'
