मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-132

अनन्तरं स जातस्तु तदा पुक्कसबालकः ।
श्मशानमृतसंस्कार-करणेषु सदोद्यतः ॥१३२॥
132. anantaraṃ sa jātastu tadā pukkasabālakaḥ .
śmaśānamṛtasaṃskāra-karaṇeṣu sadodyataḥ.
132. anantaram saḥ jātaḥ tu tadā pukkasa-bālakaḥ
śmaśāna-mṛta-saṃskāra-karaṇeṣu sadā udyataḥ
132. Subsequently, he was then born as a Pukkasa boy, who was always engaged in performing funeral rites (saṃskāra) in the cremation ground.
