मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-16

पक्षिण ऊचुः ।
राजानं व्याकुलं दीनं चिन्तयानमधोमुखम् ।
प्रत्युवाच तदा पत्नी बाष्पगद्गदया गिरा ॥१६॥

rājānaṃ vyākulaṃ dīnaṃ cintayānamadhomukham .
pratyuvāca tadā patnī bāṣpagadgadayā girā.

adhomukham pratyuvāca tadā patnī bāṣpagadgadayā girā
16. The birds said: Then, his wife replied, her voice choked with tears, to the king who was distressed, miserable, and contemplating with his head bowed.
