मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-113

अर्धदग्धाः शवाः श्यामा विकसद्दन्तपङ्क्तयः ।
हसन्तीवाग्निमध्यस्थाः कायस्येयं दशा त्विति ॥११३॥
113. ardhadagdhāḥ śavāḥ śyāmā vikasaddantapaṅktayaḥ .
hasantīvāgnimadhyasthāḥ kāyasyeyaṃ daśā tviti.
113. ardhadagdhāḥ śavāḥ śyāmāḥ vikasat dantapaṅktayaḥ
hasanti iva agnimadhyasthāḥ kāyasya iyam daśā tu iti
113. Half-burnt, dark-colored corpses, with their rows of teeth revealed, seem to be laughing while situated in the midst of the fire, as if saying, "Indeed, this is the condition of the body."
