मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-195

राजपत्न्युवाच ।
अयं स पुरुषव्याघ्रः स्वरेणैवोपलक्ष्यते ।
विद्वज्जनमनश्चन्द्रो हरिश्चन्द्रो न संशयः ॥१९५॥
195. rājapatnyuvāca .
ayaṃ sa puruṣavyāghraḥ svareṇaivopalakṣyate .
vidvajjanamanaścandro hariścandro na saṃśayaḥ.
195. rājapatnī uvāca ayam saḥ puruṣavyāghraḥ svareṇa eva
upalakṣyate vidvajjanamanaścandrah hariścandraḥ na saṃśayaḥ
195. The queen said: 'This foremost of men (puruṣavyāghra) is recognized by his voice alone. There is no doubt, he is Harishchandra, who is like the moon to the minds of the learned!'
