मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-73

तद्वित्तं स्तोकमालोक्य दारविक्रयसम्भवम् ।
शोकाभिभूतं राजानं कुपितः कौशिकोऽब्रवीत् ॥७३॥
73. tadvittaṃ stokamālokya dāravikrayasambhavam .
śokābhibhūtaṃ rājānaṃ kupitaḥ kauśiko'bravīt.
73. tat vittam stokam ālokya dāra-vikraya-sambhavam
śoka-abhibhūtam rājānam kupitaḥ kauśikaḥ abravīt
73. Having seen that wealth, which had come from the sale of his family, to be meager, the enraged Kauśika (Viśvāmitra) spoke to the king who was overwhelmed by grief.
