मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-21

सप्ताश्वमेधानाहृत्य राजसूयं च पार्थिवः ।
कृतिर्नाम च्युतः स्वर्गादसत्यवचनात् सकृत् ॥२१॥
21. saptāśvamedhānāhṛtya rājasūyaṃ ca pārthivaḥ .
kṛtirnāma cyutaḥ svargādasatyavacanāt sakṛt.
21. sapta aśvamedhān āhṛtya rājasūyam ca pārthivaḥ
kṛtiḥ nāma cyutaḥ svargāt asatyavacanāt sakṛt
21. King Kṛti (Kṛti), having performed seven horse sacrifices (aśvamedha) and a rājasūya (rājasūya) ceremony, once fell from heaven because of a single false statement.
