मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-223

निपतिष्यामि तन्वङ्गि क्षन्तव्यं कुकृतं मम ।
अनुज्ञाता च गच्छ त्वं विप्रवेश्म सुछिस्मिते ॥२२३॥
223. nipatiṣyāmi tanvaṅgi kṣantavyaṃ kukṛtaṃ mama .
anujñātā ca gaccha tvaṃ vipraveśma suchismite.
223. nipatiṣyāmi tanvaṅgi kṣantavyam kukṛtam mama
anujñātā ca gaccha tvam vipraveśma succhismite
223. O slender-limbed one, I will throw myself [into the fire]. My misdeed must be forgiven. And you, O beautifully smiling one, having received permission, go to the Brahmin's house.
