मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-8, verse-10

हरिश्चन्द्र उवाच ।
ब्राह्मन्नद्यैव सम्पूर्णो मासोऽम्लानतपोधन ।
तिष्ठत्येतद् दनार्धं यत्तत् प्रतीक्षस्व माचिरम् ॥१०॥
10. hariścandra uvāca .
brāhmannadyaiva sampūrṇo māso'mlānatapodhana .
tiṣṭhatyetad danārdhaṃ yattat pratīkṣasva māciram.
10. hariścandrah uvāca brāhman adya
eva sampūrṇaḥ māsaḥ amlāna-tapaḥ-dhana
tiṣṭhati etat dāna-ardham
yat tat pratīkṣasva mā ciram
10. Hariścandra said: 'O Brahmin, the month is indeed complete today, O you whose spiritual power (tapas) is unfading! This half of the gift (dāna) is what remains; please wait for that, and do not delay.'
