अथवा प्रेष्यतां यास्ये वरमेवात्मविक्रयः ॥१५॥

I will become a sinful worm, the lowest of the low, by taking a brahmin's property. Alternatively, I will fall into servitude; indeed, selling myself (ātman) is preferable.
