मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-9, verse-209

पैतृकं तु पिता द्रव्यमनवाप्तं यदाप्नुयात ।
न तत पुत्रैर्भजेत सार्धमकामः स्वयमर्जितम ॥२०९॥
209. paitṛkaṁ tu pitā dravyamanavāptaṁ yadāpnuyāt ,
na tat putrairbhajet sārdhamakāmaḥ svayamarjitam.
209. paitṛkam tu pitā dravyam anavāptam yat āpnuyāt na
tat putraiḥ bhajeta sārdham akāmaḥ svayamarjitam
209. If a father acquires ancestral property that was previously unobtained, he should not, against his will, share that self-acquired wealth with his sons.
