मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-9, verse-190

संस्थितस्यानपत्यस्य सगोत्रात पुत्रमाहरेत तत्र यद रिक्थजातं स्यात तत तस्मिन प्रतिपादयेत । ॥१९०॥
190. saṁsthitasyānapatyasya sagotrāt putramāharet tatra yad rikthajātaṁ syāt tat tasmin pratipādayet ,.

190. If a person has died without issue, a son should be taken from a kinsman (sagotrāt). Whatever property is available in that instance, that should be assigned to him.
