अथर्चीकादयोऽभ्येत्य पितरो ब्राह्मणर्षभम् ।
तं क्षमस्वेति सिषिधुस्ततः स विरराम ह ॥६॥

taṁ kṣamasveti siṣidhustataḥ sa virarāma ha.

6. Then, Rchika and other ancestors approached him, the foremost among Brahmins, and restrained him, saying, "Please forgive!" Thereupon, he indeed ceased (his acts of vengeance).
