महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-2, verse-195

श्लोकाः सप्तशतं चात्र पञ्चसप्ततिरुच्यते ।
संख्यया भारताख्यानं कर्त्रा ह्यत्र महात्मना ।
प्रणीतं सज्जनमनोवैक्लव्याश्रुप्रवर्तकम् ॥१९५॥
195. ślokāḥ saptaśataṁ cātra pañcasaptatirucyate ,
saṁkhyayā bhāratākhyānaṁ kartrā hyatra mahātmanā ,
praṇītaṁ sajjanamanovaiklavyāśrupravartakam.
195. ślokāḥ saptaśatam ca atra pañcasaptatiḥ
ucyate saṃkhyayā bhāratākhyānam
kartrā hi atra mahātmanā praṇītam
sajjanamanovaiklavyāśrupravartakam
195. And here, seven hundred and seventy-five verses are enumerated. This narrative of Bhārata was indeed composed here by the great soul (the author), causing tears of distress to flow from the minds of good people.
