महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-2, verse-25

समेतास्तत्र वै देशे तत्रैव निधनं गताः ।
कौरवान्कारणं कृत्वा कालेनाद्भुतकर्मणा ॥२५॥
25. sametāstatra vai deśe tatraiva nidhanaṁ gatāḥ ,
kauravānkāraṇaṁ kṛtvā kālenādbhutakarmaṇā.

25. Having gathered in that very region, they indeed perished right there, with the Kauravas serving as the cause, by the wondrous-working hand of Time.
