महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-2, verse-237

इतिहासोत्तमादस्माज्जायन्ते कविबुद्धयः ।
पञ्चभ्य इव भूतेभ्यो लोकसंविधयस्त्रयः ॥२३७॥
237. itihāsottamādasmājjāyante kavibuddhayaḥ ,
pañcabhya iva bhūtebhyo lokasaṁvidhayastrayaḥ.
237. itihāsa uttamāt asmāt jāyante kavibuddhayaḥ |
pañcabhyaḥ iva bhūtebhyaḥ lokasaṃvidhayaḥ trayaḥ
237. From this excellent history, poetic intellects arise, just as the three arrangements of the worlds (or three types of creation) arise from the five great elements.
