मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-11, verse-82

शिष्ट्वा वा भूमिदेवानां नरदेवसमागमे ।
स्वमेनोऽवभृथस्नातो हयमेधे विमुच्यते ॥८२॥
82. śiṣṭvā vā bhūmidevānāṁ naradevasamāgame ,
svameno'vabhṛthasnāto hayamedhe vimucyate.
82. śiṣṭvā vā bhūmidevānām naradevasamāgame svam
enaḥ avabhṛthasnātaḥ hayamedhe vimucyate
82. vā bhūmidevānām śiṣṭvā naradevasamāgame,
avabhṛthasnātaḥ hayamedhe svam enaḥ vimucyate.
82. Or, having distributed (offerings) to the earth-gods (brahmins) in an assembly of kings, one who has taken the `avabhṛtha` bath at the horse `Vedic ritual` (hayamedha yajña) is liberated from one's own sin.
