मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-11, verse-27

इष्टिं वैश्वानरीं नित्यं निर्वपेदब्दपर्यये ।
कॢप्तानां पशुसोमानां निष्कृत्यर्थमसंभवे ॥२७॥
27. iṣṭiṁ vaiśvānarīṁ nityaṁ nirvapedabdaparyaye ,
kḷptānāṁ paśusomānāṁ niṣkṛtyarthamasaṁbhave.

27. One should always perform the Vaiśvānara Vedic ritual (iṣṭi) at the turn of the year, for the purpose of atoning for the prescribed animal and soma offerings when their performance was not possible.
