मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-11, verse-57

निक्षेपस्यापहरणं नराश्वरजतस्य च ।
भूमिवज्रमणीनां च रुक्मस्तेयसमं स्मृतम ॥५७॥
57. nikṣepasyāpaharaṇaṁ narāśvarajatasya ca ,
bhūmivajramaṇīnāṁ ca rukmasteyasamaṁ smṛtam.

57. The appropriation of a deposit (nikṣepa), and of men, horses, or silver, and of land, diamonds, or jewels (maṇi), is declared to be equivalent to the theft of gold.
