खलात क्षेत्रादगाराद वा यतो वाऽप्युपलभ्यते ।
आख्यातव्यं तु तत तस्मै पृच्छते यदि पृच्छति ॥१७॥

Whatever is found, whether from a threshing-floor, a field, a house, or from anywhere else, that should certainly be declared to the one who asks, if he indeed asks.
