मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-11, verse-258

अरण्ये वा त्रिरभ्यस्य प्रयतो वेदसंहिताम ।
मुच्यते पातकैः सर्वैः पराकैः शोधितस्त्रिभिः ॥२५८॥
258. araṇye vā trirabhyasya prayato vedasaṁhitām ,
mucyate pātakaiḥ sarvaiḥ parākaiḥ śodhitastribhiḥ.
258. araṇye vā triḥ abhyasya prayataḥ vedasaṃhitām
mucyate pātakaiḥ sarvaiḥ parākaiḥ śodhitaḥ tribhiḥ
258. vā araṇye prayataḥ (janāḥ) vedasaṃhitām triḥ abhyasya,
sarvaiḥ pātakaiḥ mucyate,
tribhiḥ parākaiḥ śodhitaḥ (san).
258. Or, in a forest, a self-controlled person, having recited the entire Vedic collection thrice, becomes liberated (mokṣa) from all sins, purified by three `parāka` penances.
