मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-11, verse-200

षष्ठान्नकालता मासं संहिताजप एव वा ।
होमाश्च सकला नित्यमपाङ्क्त्यानां विशोधनम ॥२००॥
200. ṣaṣṭhānnakālatā māsaṁ saṁhitājapa eva vā ,
homāśca sakalā nityamapāṅktyānāṁ viśodhanam.

200. Observing a diet of eating only every sixth meal for a month, or chanting the (Saṃhitā) Vedic texts, or performing all (homa) fire rituals regularly, serves as a purification for those who are excluded from a communal meal (apāṅktya).
