मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-11, verse-105

खट्वाङ्गी चीरवासा वा श्मश्रुलो विजने वने ।
प्राजापत्यं चरेत कृच्छ्रमब्दमेकं समाहितः ॥१०५॥
105. khaṭvāṅgī cīravāsā vā śmaśrulo vijane vane ,
prājāpatyaṁ caret kṛcchramabdamekaṁ samāhitaḥ.

105. Alternatively, (he should become) one who carries a skull-topped staff, wears garments of bark, and is bearded, then, being concentrated in a solitary forest, he should perform the Prajāpatya penance for one year.
