The twelfth portion of the supreme life span (`parāyuḥ`) is declared as its (the supreme life span's) `sandhyā` (junctional period). The `sandhyā daśā` (transition period) of the Lagna (Ascendant), signs, and so on, is considered to be measured by that same proportion, in successive order.
