उच्चखेटस्य सद्भावे वर्षमेकं च निक्षिपेत् ।
तथैव नीचखेटस्य वर्षमेकं विशोधयेत् ॥१६५॥

165. uccakheṭasya sadbhāve varṣamekaṃ ca nikṣipet .
tathaiva nīcakheṭasya varṣamekaṃ viśodhayet.

In the presence of an exalted planet (ucca-kheṭa), one year should be added. Similarly, in the case of a debilitated planet (nīca-kheṭa), one year should be subtracted.
