बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-46, verse-161

तत एव दशा ग्राह्या क्रमाद् वोत्क्रमतो द्विजः ।
बलस्याऽत्र विचारे स्यादग्रहात् सग्रहो बली ॥१६१॥
161. tata eva daśā grāhyā kramād votkramato dvijaḥ .
balasyā'tra vicāre syādagrahāt sagraho balī.
161. tataḥ eva daśā grāhyā kramāt vā utkramataḥ dvijaḥ
balasya atra vicāre syāt agrahāt sagrahaḥ balī
161. O twice-born (dvija), the planetary periods (daśā) should be considered from that very point, either in forward or reverse order. In this assessment of strength, if a planet is accompanied by another planet, it is considered stronger than one that is not accompanied.
