When the lord of the 10th house (karma bhāva) is situated in the 10th house, the eighty-four year dasha should be known. One should use the number obtained by counting from the star Svāti (Pāvana nakṣatra) up to the birth nakṣatra (janmabha) and then dividing that count by seven.
