Among the Lagna (Ascendant), the Sun, and the Moon, whichever is the strongest, its planetary period (`daśā`) is considered the first. Thereafter, the `daśā`s of the planets/signs situated in the angular houses (kendras) and so on, relative to that strongest one, should be known according to their respective strengths.
