मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-8, verse-370

या तु कन्यां प्रकुर्यात स्त्री सा सद्यो मौण्ड्यमर्हति ।
अङ्गुल्योरेव वा छेदं खरेणोद्वहनं तथा ॥३७०॥
370. yā tu kanyāṁ prakuryāt strī sā sadyo mauṇḍyamarhati ,
aṅgulyoreva vā chedaṁ khareṇodvahanaṁ tathā.

aṅgulyoḥ eva vā chedam khareṇa udvahanam tathā
370. yā strī tu kanyām prakuryāt sā sadyaḥ mauṇḍyam arhati
vā aṅgulyoḥ chedam eva tathā khareṇa udvahanam
370. Indeed, a woman who defiles a maiden immediately deserves tonsure. Alternatively, she should suffer the amputation of her two fingers or be carried away on a donkey.
