मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-8, verse-279

येन केन चिदङ्गेन हिंस्याच्चेत्श्रेष्ठमन्त्यजः ।
छेत्तव्यं तद तदेवास्य तन मनोरनुशासनम ॥२७९॥
279. yena kena cidaṅgena hiṁsyāccetśreṣṭhamantyajaḥ ,
chettavyaṁ tad tadevāsya tan manoranuśāsanam.
279. yena kena cit aṅgena hiṃsyāt cet śreṣṭham antyajaḥ
chettavyam tat tat eva asya tat manoḥ anuśāsanam
279. cet antyajaḥ yena kena cit aṅgena śreṣṭham hiṃsyāt
tat tat eva asya chettavyam tat manoḥ anuśāsanam
279. If an outcaste (antyaja) injures a superior person with any limb, then that very limb of his should be cut off; that is the instruction of Manu.
