मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-8, verse-329

अन्येषां चैवमादीनां मद्यानामोदनस्य च ।
पक्वान्नानां च सर्वेषां तन्मुल्याद द्विगुणो दमः ॥३२९॥
329. anyeṣāṁ caivamādīnāṁ madyānāmodanasya ca ,
pakvānnānāṁ ca sarveṣāṁ tanmulyād dviguṇo damaḥ.
329. anyeṣām ca evam-ādīnām madyānām odanasya ca
pakvānnānām ca sarveṣām tat-mūlyāt dvi-guṇaḥ damaḥ
329. damaḥ tat-mūlyāt dvi-guṇaḥ anyeṣām ca evam-ādīnām
madyānām odanasya ca sarveṣām pakvānnānām ca
329. For these and other similar things, intoxicants and cooked rice, and all cooked foods, the penalty (dama) is double their value.
