A killer of an embryo (bhrūṇahā) transfers his sin to the giver of food. An erring wife transfers hers to her husband. A pupil and a patron of a (Vedic ritual) (yajña) transfer their sin to their `guru` (preceptor). A thief transfers his guilt to the king.
