मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-8, verse-343

अनेन विधिना राजा कुर्वाणः स्तेननिग्रहम ।
यशोऽस्मिन प्राप्नुयात्लोके प्रेत्य चानुत्तमं सुखम ॥३४३॥
343. anena vidhinā rājā kurvāṇaḥ stenanigraham ,
yaśo'smin prāpnuyātloke pretya cānuttamaṁ sukham.

asmin prāpnuyāt loke pretya ca anuttamam sukham
343. Following this method, a king who suppresses thieves obtains fame in this world and unsurpassed happiness hereafter.
