स दण्डं प्राप्नुयान माषं तच्च तस्मिन समाहरेत ॥३१९॥

319.
Whoever steals a rope or a pot from a well, or whoever destroys a public water-hut, that person shall incur a fine of one māṣa, and that amount shall be collected from him.
