महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-14, verse-75

पुरा कृतयुगे तात ऋषिरासीन्महायशाः ।
व्याघ्रपाद इति ख्यातो वेदवेदाङ्गपारगः ।
तस्याहमभवं पुत्रो धौम्यश्चापि ममानुजः ॥७५॥
75. purā kṛtayuge tāta ṛṣirāsīnmahāyaśāḥ ,
vyāghrapāda iti khyāto vedavedāṅgapāragaḥ ,
tasyāhamabhavaṁ putro dhaumyaścāpi mamānujaḥ.

vedavedāṅgapāragaḥ tasya aham abhavam
putraḥ dhaumyaḥ ca api mama anujaḥ
75. O dear one, in the ancient Kṛta age, there was a highly renowned sage named Vyāghrapāda, who was proficient in the Vedas and their auxiliary sciences (Vedāṅgas). I was his son, and Dhaumya was my younger brother.
