महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-14, verse-103

तस्माद्वरमहं काङ्क्षे निधनं वापि कौशिक ।
गच्छ वा तिष्ठ वा शक्र यथेष्टं बलसूदन ॥१०३॥
103. tasmādvaramahaṁ kāṅkṣe nidhanaṁ vāpi kauśika ,
gaccha vā tiṣṭha vā śakra yatheṣṭaṁ balasūdana.
103. tasmāt varam aham kāṅkṣe nidhanam vā api kauśika |
gaccha vā tiṣṭha vā śakra yathā-iṣṭam bala-sūdana
103. kauśika! tasmāt aham varam vā api nidhanam kāṅkṣe.
śakra bala-sūdana! yathā-iṣṭam gaccha vā tiṣṭha vā.
103. Therefore, O Kauśika (Indra), I desire a boon from Him, or even death (rather than worshipping anyone else). Go or stay, O Śakra (Indra), O Slayer of Bala, as you please.
