महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-14, verse-64

महादेवस्य रोषाच्च आपो नष्टाः पुराभवन् ।
ताश्च सप्तकपालेन देवैरन्याः प्रवर्तिताः ॥६४॥
64. mahādevasya roṣācca āpo naṣṭāḥ purābhavan ,
tāśca saptakapālena devairanyāḥ pravartitāḥ.

tāḥ ca saptakapālena devaiḥ anyāḥ pravartitāḥ

64. Due to the anger of Mahadeva, the waters had previously been lost. These (waters) were then made to flow again by the gods using the seven Kapalas.
