महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-14, verse-167

एवं स्तुत्वाहमीशानं पाद्यमर्घ्यं च भक्तितः ।
कृताञ्जलिपुटो भूत्वा सर्वं तस्मै न्यवेदयम् ॥१६७॥
167. evaṁ stutvāhamīśānaṁ pādyamarghyaṁ ca bhaktitaḥ ,
kṛtāñjalipuṭo bhūtvā sarvaṁ tasmai nyavedayam.
167. evam stutvā aham īśānam pādyam arghyam ca bhaktitaḥ
kṛtāñjalipuṭaḥ bhūtvā sarvam tasmai nyavedayam

167. Having thus praised the Lord Īśāna, and standing with cupped hands with devotion (bhakti), I offered all the water for washing feet and reverential water to Him.
